Howdy,

 

My name is Ian! My passion for sports and the outdoors has enhanced my professional skills as a photographer, videographer, and outsider. With over a decade of experience in these fields, I know how to make the most of every scene I encounter.

I came into this world outside of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in the late-80s. In the mid-90s, I moved to a suburb outside of Toronto, Ontario, where my love for skiing, mountain biking, and the wilderness blossomed. It was during this time that my interest in photography grew. After high school, I moved to Tennessee in 2006 to further my schooling in photography/videography. As my journey continued to grow, I moved to the mountains of Colorado and still call Summit County home.

Since living in and surrounding myself with some of the tallest peaks in the lower 48, my connection to the outdoors and mountain environment has grown immensely in more ways than I would have ever imagined. Working with me offers much more insight beyond just the images. I love reconnecting with the mountain regions I have become familiar with and sharing them with others who are willing to put the work in. From Silverthorne to Aspen, up to Steamboat, and beyond to the furthest peaks and valleys, chasing the golden hour is where I thrive with others.

 

Are you planning a bike, hike, ski, or float for a special occasion? I love trekking up a mountainside with a pack full of gear and, most importantly, snacks! "There are no bad weather days, only the wrong clothes!" I relish the opportunity to document exciting moments while focusing on providing my clients with immaculate images to cherish forever.

 

I hope you enjoy looking through my galleries as much as I enjoyed capturing them. It's amazing how powerful one image can be. It can make you time-travel back into the moment, the smells, the sounds, and the sights of that moment. That is what I strive for with every one of my images.
